2 1/2 years ago my daughter,23yrs and granddaughter,16months were killed in a car accident. I went through hell. When i saw your documentary i was in awe. You must be angels to do what you did for your grandson, amazing!! I cannot even fathom your pain. Just know that your son and grandson ARE angels now and although you will always have pain and loss, they never will again.

Your story touched my heart. I am so sorry for the hell you were put through. Take comfort in knowing that Andrew and Zachary are together and one day you will see them again. Please, don't leave too soon...many people would be heart-broken if you left before your time. You will have eternity to be with the ones you love. Thank you for sharing your story and changing the world with your determination.

I picked this movie on netflix because my sons name is Zackary........it is remarkable...I cried so much and im so sorry for all of this injustice. but it is remarkable that this movie was made in the memory of all the amazing people that loved them both. Something needs to be done about the system.

I am speechless!!!! When it got to the part when you said she killed the baby...I never cried as hard or as long except when my husband, Russell died on Jan 10th , 2009. I had to pause the movie to collect myself. All I can say is Andrew and Zachary are together in heaven, and she is not there with them. I love you all, who lost a son grandson, friend, cousin,Doctor..etc... This should be shown to all graduating Law students as mandatory, before receiving their diplomas. Im so sorry...doesnt even cover the emotion I feel ...Im just speechless...He so looked like Andrew...God Bless you all...Deorah Cox

Dear Andrew and Zachary, while hearts bleed pain at your loss, they also sing joy at the uniting of father and son in Heaven. Both lives cut so terribly short but two lives which have and will affect more people than we can imagine.

May Kate and David remain strong in their convictions, and may Kurt's flame of brillance never dim.

My heart - the heart of a stranger - is with you all in your tragic and unjustified losses.

  Dear Mr. and Mrs. Bagby,
I watched Dear Zachary today and was reminded once again of the horrors you and your families have suffered through. I have been following this story since the beginning since I am a Newfoundlander and was and still am appalled at how our justice system failed you and your grandson Zachary. I have written to all of our senate representatives to urge them to support your bill and I hope they will do the humane thing and pass this quickly.
I think it is a testament of the kind of people you are that instead of giving up on our justice system since it destroyed such intigral parts of your lives, that you instead work tirelessly to change it so that similar instances can't happen again.
I believe you are extremely brave and loving people who deserve so much happiness but who have been through so much heartache and grief needlessly.
Though it doesn't mean much I am truly sorry for you losses and hope that you find comfort in the knowledge that yours and Zachary's stories aren't forgotten in Newfoundland and that we still grieve with you.
To Kurt, your documentary is brilliant, it made me cry just as much as Mr. Bagby's book. I hope you find comfort in the fact that you painted your friend in such a manner that everyone who see's this film knows that he was truly loved by all who knew him, these are qualities of a remarkable individual, which I'm sure he was.

Kate and David are two truly spectacular people. The amount of suffering that they went through only to continue to fight for what is right is just staggering. Andrew and Zachary will truly be missed.

What an amazing and moving piece of work. I can't believe all of the horrendous events that occurred to the Bagby family and those who loved and cherished Andrew and Zachary. God bless all of you.

  Dear Kate,David and Kurt.
sinceramente
Tatiana NYC

What a wonderfully done documentary. What a sad and tragic story. My husband and I have just watched this story and we both agree that what we have in Canada is a legal system, it is certainly not a justice system. We can only hope that it changes in the future, however, our hopes are not high.

  For The Bagbys and Kurt,
I watched the documentary just today and am deeply touched and moved..so sad and terrible. You inspirated me by your story to not feel sorry for myself anymore-your loss and pain are profound and forever wounding. In seeing you with your son and your grandson made me want to embrace my life and my family as I have not done before-You touched my spirit in watching today to be a better person and to be a part of your cause and fight to keep evil away...as far away as possible. I know you will all be together again someday.
